Privacy policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
1. Data controller
In compliance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), we inform you that Vigía DPO (vigiadpo.com) is an independent project run by a professional registered as autónomo (self-employed) in Spain, currently in a reservation phase (nothing is sold yet). The controller's full identifying details (name, tax ID and address) will be published before any sale begins. Contact and to exercise your rights: hola@vigiadpo.com.
2. Data we collect and purpose of processing
We only collect the email address you voluntarily provide through the waitlist form. The purpose is:
- To notify you when the Vigía DPO service is available (founding group opening).
- To send you, if you accept, the free weekly regulatory digest.
We do not process personal data of your clients. For the service to work we only use sectors and processing types, with no reference to identified or identifiable individuals.
3. Legal basis for processing
The legal basis for processing your email address is consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the form. You may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4. Recipients and international transfers
Your data is not transferred to third parties for their own purposes. The providers involved are: our self-hosted email manager on our own server in the EU (Listmonk) and, only if you accept analytics cookies, Google (Google Analytics). Fonts are served from our own server (no Google Fonts), so your IP is not shared with third parties for that reason.
Email does not leave the European Economic Area (EEA). Google Analytics, only with your consent, may process data in the US under the GDPR standard safeguards.
5. Retention period
We retain your email address while your subscription is active or until you request deletion. If the service does not launch, we will delete all data within 3 months of that decision.
6. Your rights
You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and data portability, as well as the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions, by contacting:
hola@vigiadpo.com
You must prove your identity. We will respond within one month (extendable to three in complex cases). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority (www.aepd.es), or with the supervisory authority of the EU member state where you reside.
7. Cookies
This website uses analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only if you accept them in the site notice. See our Cookie policy for details.
8. Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to reflect regulatory or service changes. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice on the website.
